Open Spaces February - Larger

$285.00

I caught a very bad case of Covid in October 2024 and spent most of November and December watching the sky from my comfy office chair. Once the worst of the symptoms were over, I started to enjoy the quiet, unscheduled days. The lack of energy kept me resting, doodling, dreaming.

Come January with an open calendar, I realized how much I love open spaces in landscapes and in calendars. I also realized that much of my artwork has the feel of open spaces.

My plan was and is to create a series each month based on a theme of open spaces. This month, I was inspired by a large piece I made a year or so ago using just encaustic and inks on handmade Japanese washi paper. I decided to concentrate on those materials this month.

I ended up with 5 of 17” x 12” pieces - and some look great as diptychs.

These are tricky to ship because of the encaustic and their size, so I have to charge more for them. If you are outside of the US, please email me before purchasing so that we can discuss customs and the shipping process.

They are signed and dated in pencil on reverse and include a certificate of authenticity.
